This luxury vintage cocktail cabinet has been lovingly and sympathetically restored, and is now ready to, once again, make an elegant statement. “Alouette” means “lark” in French, and is a nod to the  unique Chinoiserie styled birds and branches design.

The antique piece features a central walnut cabinet with two individual drawers below. There is an interior original mirror at the back, a curved wooden shelf, and rechargeable LED light, which can be set to stay on or come on when opened. The original cocktail “picks” have been cleaned and restored. It sits perfectly on cabriolet legs, which have been finished with high quality furniture mineral paint, in classic neutral shade. Dark waxes and gold leaf have been added to highlight the carved detailing and deliberately “aged” give a more authentic look.

The cabinet doors and top of the piece, show their glorious natural walnut burr wood, which has been edged in aged gold leaf and given several coats of superior finishing oil. The front of piece has been hand-painted with birds and branches, complementing the stunning Chinoiserie paper panels on each of sides, and the drawer fronts.

The interior been refurbished in a delicate vintage palette pale blue, which works well against the original lighter wooden shelf and inside doors. The interior and wooden drawers have been finished with specialist furniture salve and smell divine. All the original hardware has been refreshed in a darkened gold shade, and the cabinet is lockable with key.
